Oak Meadow NatureReserve  is owned  by Rayne Parish Council and is managed by a volunteer Working Group operating as a sub-committee of the Parish Council.

We would like to thank the following groups for their support.

Braintree District Council Mi Community Scheme for their award of £11,626 to fund  a professional expert contractor who will clearthe ponds and streams and set up overflow and drainage systems to ensure a good water level is reached in all ponds. The balance of this award is being used to fund the purchase of materials for various construction projects.

Essex CC Community Initiative Fund for their award of £4,250 to fund the tree maintenance work and the provision of seating constructed from felled trees around the BMX Track.

Countryside Properties for their contribution of £4,000 

Friends of the Flitch Way for  providing volunteer effort and skills to construct two bridges over the stream on the east boundary.

Friends of the Flitch Way for providing volunteer effort and skills to construct the staircase from the Flitch Way onto the meadow.
